Asset Management

In austere times, landlords need property to be working hard delivering revenues and funding re-investment. Properties may need to be adapted to make them more appealing or to meet changing social needs – the trend towards fewer bedsits and more family homes means increasing requirements to re-plan space to create larger homes within existing building envelopes. Responsible landlords also need to maintain and upgrade property to keep up with constantly changing regulations.

The urgent need for affordable homes in London means that councils are having to be creative – in the Leader of Westmister City Council, Philippa Roe’s, words – ‘utilising every nook and cranny, redundant scrap of tarmac or underused garage on our own land’.

We help manage these demands, on buildings which span the architectural spectrum, including property in conservation areas and listed buildings. Thanks to our sensitive approach and close collaboration with planners, we have a track record in gaining first time planning approval. We always try to build rapport with managers and residents, not only to help with our design work, but also to identify new opportunities to maximise the use of our clients’ assets.
