As part of Westminster Business Council, Practice Director Fiona Clark attended the launch of Westminster City Council’s first ever Enterprise Manifesto. Supported by the London Chamber of Commerce, which the practice is also a member of, the manifesto sets out the council’s commitment to support businesses in the heart of the capital, helping start ups and promoting the city to visitors and businesses.
Councillor Brian Connell, cabinet member for enterprise and skills, said: “We want to see Westminster’s 33,000 firms succeed and attract more commerce to the area. We want to cement Westminster’s position as the enterprise capital of Britain.”
New initiatives include “Hub Westminster” which will open in Piccadilly this autumn acting as an incubator for 1,000 entrepreneurs and start-ups, and the Young Enterprise scheme where schools experience running their own businesses. Westminster Business Council will be offering services to support these new enterprises whilst continuing to support businesses throughout Westminster.
