Wessex Gardens is an estate in Westbourne Park. Completed in the early 1970s and similar to the estates designed by Darbourne & Darke of the same era, it is a medium-rise, dynamic structure that incorporates lots of outside space and gardens for the residents.
CityWest Homes are responsible for the maintenance and management of the estate. DMA have produced full survey information and are working with them to prepare planning applications for estate-wide improvements. The buildings have very complicated, faceted facades and part of the works are to replace all of the 2149 windows on the estate. DMA have been involved with resident consultation, working with the window manufacturers and producing information and visualisations to help in the process of decision-making.
