Two school projects have completed and opened in time for the new January term. College Park School provides education and support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) as part of Westminster’s secondary education building programme. The school is in the Bayswater Conservation Area and the design has been carefully engineered to balance the aesthetic requirements with tight budget constraints. It has a green roof and has been designed to achieve an excellent BREEAM sustainability rating.
The work at Oaklands School in Tower Hamlets included the remodelling and extension of a Victorian building, the refurbishment of a 1990’s building and the construction of a new build block for Arts & Humanities, as well as the introduction of new roof-top play areas and hard landscaping around the buildings.
These are the sixth and seventh projects that DMA have worked on together with their client Bouygues UK and they have been completed on time and within budget.
