Open-City award for model making

Anna Davies and P.T. Andrew de Silva were at the Open-City 2011 awards ceremony this month. They were part of a volunteer team that worked together with pupils and staff from Highshore School on the Open-City Architecture in Schools project that aims to raise awareness amongst young people of the merits of good architecture and design. The awards are a London wide competition for all the schools that have taken part. Congratulations to the pupils at Highshore School who won the award for best model making and their teacher, Alison Jennings, who was awarded most inspirational teacher. The practice wishes to thank Highshore School and Malcolm Dickson, Design and Planning Manager in LB Camden’s Estate Regeneration Team who has given DMA the opportunity to get involved with this enjoyable and worthwhile project for the last two years.
