Autodesk BIM Conference 2011

David Miller spoke to over 300 delegates at the annual Autodesk BIM conference in November, held at Kings Place. The conference took an in depth look into the role that BIM is playing across all areas of the construction and civil engineering industry, discussing the practical application of BIM, the business impact and how it is implemented in organisations of all sizes.

All public sector projects are required to use BIM within five years and Paul Morrell, the Government’s Chief Construction Adviser, gave a keynote speech to explain why and how. David’s presentation was on how a small practice approaches the training, process change and IT and the investment and payback involved.

The event was chaired by Rebecca Evans, the editor of Construction News.
